Why NOW is the right time for the
CAPITAL
PROJECT

- Increased competition from entertainment facilities in Northeast Ohio
- Attendees are seeking additional space in lobby, concession and bar areas
- Artist demands are increasing and requiring larger, private backstage areas
- Post Covid world has seen a renewed interest in live entertainment regardless of indoor or outdoor venue
- Expanded collaboration other local, regional and national promoters and organizations for enhanced use of the space
- Connectivity with Reimagining Court Avenue Project, adapting the same streetscape for our outdoor event space on 6th Street, NW
- Having a new hotel and parking deck, just two blocks south of the building at the Renkert Building space
STEWARDSHIP
The Canton Palace Theatre has been a good steward of all funds received in support of previous capital projects
PROVEN
The Canton Palace Theatre is a proven community asset
TRANSFORMATIVE
This is a transformative project for our downtown and our region
ADA ACCESSIBILITY
Did you know that 30% of Stark County residents have some type of physical disability? Currently the Canton Palace Theatre can only accommodate 4 residents in wheelchairs, there is only 1 ADA compliant restroom, and only the main floor is accessible to those with walkers.
After the expansion, we’ll have over 16 spaces for wheelchairs, 4 ADA compliant restrooms and the whole building will be accessible to those with walkers.
